A winter tradition that takes place each year is the Holiday Home Tour. Starting at the Carlton Landing Academy, located at 10 Boulevard, there is a meet and greet with Santa Claus and the opportunity to pick up a Holiday Home Tour Map. From there, you can tour the town to see several homes decked for the season, each offering a treat or drink along the way. Golf Cart shuttles are available at the Carlton Landing Academy and throughout town to assist with transportation from one side of town to the other, if needed. Many visitors choose to enjoy the walkable community and take in the fresh air.
Another Winter favorite is the Annual Bonfire tradition, started by the Clay & Katie Chapman family. Residents and visitors gather to witness the lighting of a massive Christmas tree crafted from scrap lumber in a mesmerizing blaze of festive warmth. Local builders donate scrap wood for the project, with each piece cut to uniform size and stacked to create a Jenga-esque tree adorned with white twinkling lights.
