In previous years, the tree has adorned the green space of The Boroughs neighborhood. This year, the Carlton Landing Foundation is sponsoring the event, which will take place on the green space overlooking the beach.
Initiated seven years ago by the Clay and Katie Chapman family, this annual tradition stands out. Local builders donate scrap wood for the project, with each piece cut to uniform size and stacked to create a Jenga-esque tree adorned with white twinkling lights. Clay Chapman is teaching his son, Staughty, and friend, Raddec Dunn, to construct this massive structure. They are assisted by other crew members, with special thanks to the Builder’s Guild for supplying the wood.
Make plans to be in Carlton Landing on the weekend of December 9th for the Holiday Home Tour and the Christmas Tree Bonfire. It promises to be an unforgettable experience!
